Classes & Workshops | Major Workshops |
Each quarter WAS-H launches a new line-up of classes and workshops, however, we also add classes during the quarter if a teacher suggests an interesting topic that compliments our other offerings. Some classes are one-time events, lasting just two or three hours, while others will be recurring classes that span over 2, 3 or 4 weeks. The workshops offered may be one, two, or three-day workshops. These are typically over a weekend, but sometimes we may have a workshop during the week. Our regular workshops are taught by local artists and are part of our quarterly education offerings. The major workshops are typically offered during our major exhibits, AME (October) and IWE (March) each year. | Taught by nationally renowned artists, Major Workshops are 3- or 4-day workshops offered coincident with the annual major exhibits, the International Watermedia Exhibition in March and the Annual Members Exhibit in October. Wednesday (am) Senior Class (over 55) Open to the public. 9:30 am - 12:30 pm Anyone over (55 years old) who signs up online to reserve their seat may attend our Wednesday Senior Class. Seating is limited! Sometimes an instructor will lead the class and other times students paint on their own. Students bring their own supplies. Sign-up HERE Wednesday (pm) Model Labs Open to the public 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm Figure or portrait model lab are offered on Wednesday afternoons. Students must sign-up online to reserve their seat. Sign-up click here Fridays (am) Open Studio Members Only 9:00 pm - 12:30 pm Members are invited use come use the WAS-H classroom when classes are not scheduled. 2:00 pm Members and guests may attend this monthly meeting to see WAS-H friends and catch up on the latest activities. No sign-up is required for this event. 1st or 2nd Sunday Artist Talk/Demo

Reception @ 3:30 pm Every month WAS-H offers it's members an opportunity to participate in an exhibition. While only members can submit paintings, the exhibitions are open to the public during regular gallery hours. Paintings may be offered for sale. For more information, click here 2nd Saturday Paint-In

9 am - 3:30 pm Members can attend this monthly one-day workshop taught by one of our many talented artists. Students bring their own supplies. Sign-up HERE. | October & March Art Fair Members Only Members can sell their paintings at one of our Annual Art Fairs. The event is open to the public. The Art Fair happens during one of our two major juried exhibits, AME (in October) or IWE (in March). For more information, click here. March International Watermedia Exhibition (IWE) Open to the public Artists from around the world are selected to participate in this largest exhibition of the year.
