August 2024 Les McDonald August 4, 2024 at 2 pm Les McDonald, Jr. discovered his passion for art at a young age while growing up in Port O' Connor, Texas. After pursuing a degree in Commercial Art and working in advertising for nearly 20 years, Les redirected his focus to his true passion: painting. Les’ dedication to his craft has resulted in a diverse body of work, with a particular focus on nature, wildlife, birds, landscapes, seascapes, and sporting art. This last year, Les achieved signature membership at American Watercolor Society. In this demo, Les will show basic wet-on-wet application techniques for painting water and sky. He will also demonstrate dry brush application techniques, perfect for achieving wood grain textures. |
