$50,000 for the future – expanding member and community access to watercolor art!

WAS-H's mission is to further the cause and interest in watercolor art through teaching, programs, demonstrations, outreach and exhibitions.

Core to our mission is spreading the joy of watercolor art with fellow art enthusiasts across the Greater Houston area and beyond.

To that end, Watercolor Art Society - Houston is excited to launch Lights, Camera, WAS-H!, an effort aimed at upgrading the audio-visual (A/V) capabilities in our building’s classroom.

This effort will make necessary and lasting upgrades to our classroom’s technology, including new pan and zoom cameras, new display monitors, a fully-integrated control system, equipment installation, and new and improved classroom lighting for better visibility in person and for streaming.

This is a large project for an organization the size of WAS-H and it will need the help of each and every member.

How your gift makes an impact:

  • Allows us to reach our community and members, wherever they are.
  • Expands outreach, increasing accessibility and inclusion: New live streaming capabilities will share classes and demonstrations with local community centers, assisted living facilities, and care facilities.
  • Enhances virtual experiences: Our community will benefit from a suite of fully integrated, state-of-the-art A/V equipment, systems, and lighting.
  • Future-proofs our classroom: The project ensures that WAS-H remains at the forefront of art education and engagement.

Please give what you can - even the smallest amount helps.  We are grateful to our Board of Directors for their donations to get the ball rolling, and we invite you to join us in this journey to elevate our artistic community to new heights.

Make a gift and help transform WAS-H’s ability to build stronger and wider community connections!

Being part of WAS-H’s vibrant art community has brought so much light and fun into my life. It’s the perfect place for great people and great art to meet.– WAS-H member
