Election of WAS-H Officers for 2024-2026
The Board of Directors of Watercolor Society – Houston (WAS-H) approved the slate of officers for WAS-H’s 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 fiscal years. WAS-H Members of record as of March 7, 2024, may vote for the slate of officers. WAS-H will email those active members record with a link to online voting for the officer slate. Voting closes at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at the start of WAS-H’s annual meeting. The proposed slate of officers and corresponding bios for 2024-2026 are:
President Nominee Donna Van Fleet "I love helping organizations thrive from good to great. Good gets the job done, great makes a difference. WAS-H programs already are lauded for excellence; my goal is that more people experience being part of the WAS-H community as life-changing.”
Co-Vice President Nominee Kelly Medrano “I’m seeking to contribute more profoundly by taking on a leadership role. I want to drive WAS-H to evolve strategically to meet the challenges and opportunities of coming years, to elevate WAS-H to new heights.”
Co-Vice President Nominee Larry Spitsberg "I think that WAS-H, with its great artists, building, and gallery, is under-appreciated in Houston and I would like to help spread the word about this great organization."
Secretary Nominee Eileen Graves "I have been a member at WAS-H for a short time, but I feel like I am home. I know that non-profit organizations exist only because of volunteers and donations. I would love to give back to WAS-H."
Treasurer Nominee Bill Price "I joined WASH just before COVID and have been active in the past 18 months as a student. I have interest in helping out in whatever way I can to further WAS-H’s growth and greater awareness."
