Election of WAS-H Officers for 2024-2026

The Board of Directors of Watercolor Society – Houston (WAS-H) approved the slate of officers for WAS-H’s 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 fiscal years. WAS-H Members of record as of March 7, 2024, may vote for the slate of officers.  WAS-H will email those active members record with a link to online voting for the officer slate.  Voting closes at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at the start of WAS-H’s annual meeting.  The proposed slate of officers and corresponding bios for 2024-2026 are: 

President Nominee Donna Van Fleet 

"I love helping organizations thrive from good to great. Good gets the job done, great makes a difference. WAS-H programs already are lauded for excellence; my goal is that more people experience being part of the WAS-H community as life-changing.”

  • Retired IBM executive
  • BS mathematics
  • Served on 16 nonprofit boards
  • Co-VP/VP WAS-H, 3 terms


Co-Vice President Nominee Kelly Medrano

“I’m seeking to contribute more profoundly by taking on a leadership role. I want to drive WAS-H to evolve strategically to meet the challenges and opportunities of coming years, to elevate WAS-H to new heights.”

  • Professional Brand Strategist
  • Masters degree, Foresight, University of Houston
  • Current WAS-H Communications Director


Co-Vice President Nominee Larry Spitsberg

"I think that WAS-H, with its great artists, building, and gallery, is under-appreciated in Houston and I would like to help spread the word about this great organization."

Secretary Nominee Eileen Graves 

"I have been a member at WAS-H for a short time, but I feel like I am home. I know that non-profit organizations exist only because of volunteers and donations. I would love to give back to WAS-H."

Treasurer Nominee Bill Price

"I joined WASH just before COVID and have been active in the past 18 months as a student. I have interest in helping out in whatever way I can to further WAS-H’s growth and greater awareness."
