Master the fundamentals of watercolor in this beginner-friendly workshop! Learn essential techniques including water control, color mixing, and creating washes—flat and gradated—while exploring soft versus hard edges. Hands-on exercises will help you gain confidence and control, turning your brushstrokes into expressive, vibrant artwork.

Student Supply List:

These materials are suggested for students participating in the watercolor beginner workshop. Affordable, student-grade supplies are perfectly suitable.

  • §  Watercolor Paper: Arches 140 lb (300 gsm) Cold-Pressed
  • §  Graphite Pencils: HB, 2B (preferable)
  • §  Round Brushes: Size #6 to  #10 (synthetic or natural)
  • §  Flat Wash Brush: 3/4 inch (for laying larger washes)
  • §  Light weight Drawing Board
  • §  Watercolor Paints:
  • §  Palette: White ceramic or plastic mixing palette
  • §  Paper Towels or Cotton Rag
  • §  Eraser – masking tape

Note: This is an open subject class. Bring reference photos of your choice
