Students will learn the Gong Bi style of Hibiscus, Gong Bi is based on lines work, are inherent colors, which are gorgons, calm, bright, and elegant, with a unified tone. Each technique is demonstrated by the instructor. Students will receive individual attention adapted to their particular skill level and interests.

Student Supplies Needed:

Brushes:  2 small combo brush, one detailed or pointed brush, 1 medium hard bristled brush.

Paper: non-absorbency rice paper. (Teacher will provide it if you don’t have it.)  

Surface to tape painting to:  15” X 20” or large wooden or plastic corrugated sheet.

A roll of masking tape.

A set of 18 tubes of Chinese Marie’s watercolors.  

A pallet or used dishes for mixing colors.

A bottle of Sumi-e ink. (if your Marie’s watercolor sets have a tube of black color this will work instead of ink)

Roll of paper towels
