Get off to a great start! Whether you are new to watercolor or needing to refresh your skills, this fun class starts with watercolor basics, & progresses to mixing beautiful luminous colors & neutrals, creating interesting textures, and fine tuning your painting techniques with flat & round brushes, and completing a painting! Personal instruction is available for each artist at their level of experience during class.

Great for Beginners and also for Intermediate level artists or anyone who wants to refresh their color knowledge, painting skills & techniques.

Supply List: Paints:

(Texas Art Supply or Amazon, etc.).

Daniel Smith Watercolor Paints: The Essentials Set: (6) colors listed:

Hansa Yellow Light, Quinacridone Rose, and Phthalo Blue (GS), and three warm primary colors: New Gamboge, Pyrrol Scarlet, and French Ultramarine.

If you have another paint manufacturer, such as Holbein, or Winsor Newton, that is fine. If possible, please do not purchase student grade paints.


Watercolor brushes: Round size, #12 and #6 are suggestions.

Flat brushes: ½” or 1” size suggested


Watercolor paper: Arches 140 lb. Cold Press paper size: 22” x 30” One sheet
