Join us as we explore ways to paint, create texture, and mix luminous color!   This is a great class for Novice & Beginner artists or anyone wanting to enhance their painting skills &  create luminous color in their paintings.

Level: Novice or Beginner

Art Supplies for Class

  • ·       One Sheet of 140 lb. Arches Cold Press Watercolor Paper
  • ·       A painting board for watercolor paper and masking tape
  • ·       Paper towels, water containers, and Watercolor paints
  • ·       Small & Medium round watercolor brushes(1) each
  • ·       ½” Flat brush and 1” flat watercolor brush (1) each
  • ·       Regular kitchen sponge
  • ·       Notebook for notes on color, etc.

PAINTS: Daniel Smith Extra Fine Watercolors (Introductory Watercolor, 6 tube set, or equivalent.  The colors in the set you will need are:

Hansa Yellow Light, New Gamboge, Quin Rose, Pyrrol Scarlet, Phthalo Blue (GS green shade) and French Ultramarine.  These are all in the Daniel Smith set from Amazon or other art stores.  If you already have a professional brand of watercolor paints, you may use them.
