It’s the New Year! Let’s try something NEW!
Start with an abstract design and finish with a representational subject. Use expressive marks to create a dynamic under painting that will energize the subject that YOU CHOOSE to overlay on top.
Cheryl Evans will walk you through this method to help loosen up your painting process.
We will explore the elements and principles of design in a personal composition.
Materials Needed:
Cold press watercolor paper 18x24 (or larger)
Regular watercolor paint palette
Variety of brushes – flat and round
Reference images – portrait, landscape, still life, animals, floral, abstract, etc – your choice. You will be working from your own photo reference.
Paper towels
iPhone to document the steps in the process.
