VIRTUAL: Figures in Sunlight
Graham Berry Saturday and Sunday Morning January 13 & 14 9:00-11:00am Central Time $60 members/$80 non-members In this workshop I will teach you how to simplify scenes and take the fear out of painting people, to see things as simple shapes and eliminate unnecessary detail. We will work with a limited palette and I will teach how to paint wet in wet, dry brush, and the importance of the water to pigment ratio. At the end of the class you will go home with a completed painting and the confidence to put people in your own paintings. My paintings are inspired by the effect of light and shadow on our environment, creating dynamic shapes and colours. I especially enjoy painting people going about their everyday lives, and I hope to inspire you to see future paintings everywhere you look. Links to a video recording of each session will be provided, should you miss a class or want to review a session. Links remain available for 120 days. Level: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
