VIRTUAL: Loose Streetscapes in Watercolors
Vanidas Mangathil Six Monday mornings September 4, 11, 18, 25, October 2, 9 9:30-11:30am Central Time $175 members/$235 non-members The course is to help aspiring watercolor artists to take their streetscape painting skills to the next level and to get those masterful loose watercolor streetscapes. The following topics will be covered (not necessarily in the given order): ● Introduction to basic perspectives relevant to streetscapes ● Creating depth in streetscapes ● Basics of painting vehicles in streetscapes ● Addition of figures in streetscapes ● Simplifying streetscapes to remove complexities and improve composition ● Demonstration of streetscapes, simplifying from photographs First two or three classes will have more theoretical discussions (perspectives, vehicles, figures etc.) and associated demonstrations. Rest of the classes will demonstrate the application of concepts using reference photographs and developing from imagination. Links to a video recording of each session will be provided, should you miss a class or want to review a session. Links remain available for 120 days.
