Friday, September 9 6:00-9:00pm $50 members/$60 non-members This workshop combines mindfulness techniques with watercolor to explore the self and create something joyful. This class can be taken multiple times since the emphasis is on your process rather than a perfect end product. What to expect: We will begin with a check-in mindfulness exercise to check in with what decisions or concerns are coming up for us that day. Brief discussion on personal values and finding happiness Project steps a. Determine your top six values b. Trace or draw cup or flower to represent each one c. Paint each one, beginning with the ones you attend to most Reflection discussion Close with relaxation exercise *Note: This class is not a substitute for therapy from a licensed psychologist. We will be going over mindfulness principles in an educational-type setting and in application to watercolor, but I encourage everyone to seek personal therapy for deeper exploration. Level: Novice, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
