Birds make for fascinating little subjects in paintings, yeah? They give us opportunity to express endless varieties of dynamic color and gesture. In this workshop, we’ll employ lively, fluid brush strokes while painting our bird in their natural context. The focus will be on design of color, value relationships, and edge quality – revealing how a well-planned execution can make a compelling painting. This particular bird is a great example to paint and learn how to mix deep rich blacks.
