IN PERSON - Order of Operations
Carla Gauthier Sunday, October 10 10:00am -4:00pm $75 members/$85 non-members Often a photo will be overwhelming – so much color and texture, so many shapes, but any subject can be broken down in a way that keeps the artist in control. Learn how to look at your photo and break it down into steps you can follow to a lovely finished watercolor. Use techniques that will empower you when you are working in your studio with your painting, whether it is a landscape, floral or portrait, no matter your style – abstract, impressionistic or realistic. The results will be unified and harmonious, with a strong focal point. We will do an exercise together to cement the ideas we learn. Supply list: Bring your regular watercolor supplies, along with a pencil and paper that is about 11 x 15 (quarter sheet). We will paint an exercise painting together. Also bring a photo or two that you LOVE, BUT it is confusing to you how to proceed painting it. We will talk about your photos with the time that allows.
