Plein Air Painting - Rothko Chapel Grounds
Kathleen Church, Facilitator kechurch@mac.com
Do you love painting outdoors, in "plein air?" Painters will meet on Tuesday, April 27th at the Rothko Chapel grounds from 10am to 1pm.
The Rothko Chapel grounds are at 3900 Yaupon at Sul Ross.
The Rothko Chapel grounds are a welcoming, calming green space. The grounds act as an extension of the Chapel itself, making them an ideal place to reflect on your experience of the Chapel and the Broken Obelisk, or simply have a quiet moment of escape from the outside world.
This is a casual meeting of WAS-H members who want to paint outdoors. Please observe social distancing and location rules. Register to receive updates about the event, and so the coordinator has an idea of who to be on the look out for. There is no fee or instruction, just come to paint and have fun.
Supplies:
Bring the supplies you can comfortably carry, and a lightweight stool. Some like to paint in their laps on a block or in a sketchbook. Check out suggested supplies from these seasoned plein air painters.
