All birds are fascinating creatures, but there are many hummingbird facts that make these birds astonishing to even experienced birders. In these two sessions, you will learn to use Chinese brush painting techniques to capture the most interesting of birds. Use minimal brushstrokes to delineate subjects as you see and feel them. Each technique is demonstrated by instructor. Welcome all levels


Supply list:

  • Brushes; one detail brush as fine tip brush, one small combination brush, one large combination brush.
  • Paper: Sumi paper Pi or Ma, or half raw & half ripe rice pa
  • A box of Chinese watercolor 12 or 18 tubes https://www.jerrysartarama.com/maries-chinese-watercolor-painting-set .
  • A box of Chinese ink or Sumi ink.
  • Couple of large dishes or palettes for mixing colors.
  • A painting mat or felt.
  • A wash jar or bowl.
  • A roll of paper towels.
  • 2-4 paper weights.
