Eight Weeks

Tuesdays, March 16 - May 04,

10:00am-12:30pm Central Time

$200 members

This 8-week course is designed to help artists develop artworks that are recognized as a cohesive series or to offer guidance for a series already in progress.  Artists may come to the class with a previously developed concept or walk through the steps of developing a thesis for a body of work that holds together in theme, technique and concept.  Based on the needs of the group, the instructor will assign exercises to identify and narrow the artistic direction of each student.  A portion of each class will be spent looking at art historical examples to inform and inspire.  Equal time will be allotted for each artist to have their work reviewed by the class in order to glean aesthetic, technical and intellectual feedback.  The optimum goal is to create a body of work that holds together conceptually and will be ready for presentation either digitally or in an exhibition setting.

As a reminder, there is no supply list for this class.
