The Light at DUSK has a certain kind of magic - the subtle light, the color energy and depth is inspiring - but it can be tricky to paint! Sunset skies, shadowed foregrounds, even the glow of streetlights or interior lights can all factor in. Let's take that inspiration, along with color recipes and a certain order of operations to make that last light of day sparkle on your paper. You will be sent a written explanation of what we will do, including color suggestions. You will also get a photo sent, and a simple line drawing to trace, so that you can paint along if you wish during the demo. I will be painting a scene, explaining colors, amount of paint on my brush/paper, and walk you through all the steps. We will take breaks and answer questions as they pop up, and you will see a finished painting by the end of class. Note: Please note that registration will close Thursday, August 27 at noon Central Time. Please register early. Handouts and ZOOM links will be mailed to all participants after registration closes.
