1:00-4:00 pm

Level: Intermediate to Advanced

Whether you fancy yourself a professional photographer, or you just have a handful of snapshots that inspire you to paint, photos are resources that can push our art forward. Learn to take steps to identify the best shapes, arrange them in a few pleasing compositions, work on a value sketches to improve visual flow and finally choose color schemes to give your art mood and personality.

We will do this multiple times, in class, and paint as "homework". A final critique will help us celebrate the new approaches we have taken and the resulting paintings. To get the most out of this class there will be extra time involved to get "homework" done, please take note! This class is good for intermediate to advanced levels.
