Level: Intermediate to Advanced

This class is designed to learn basic techniques of portraits painting in watercolor medium. Class demos will help you to learn portrait painting skills, construction of human head, tonality, and color values. Portrait painting itself is a fun for many reasons; it is thrilling and exciting as well as challenging when painting in watercolor medium.

Supply List

Graphite Pencils: HB, 2B (preferable)

Watercolor brushes(# 02 to #06 -- natural squirrel hair )

Watercolor paint of your choice and palette

140 lb Arches watercolor paper, ¼ sheet size paper, or 12x16" block

Lightweight drawing board

Eraser, masking tape, sharpener

Paper towels

Note: Bring good quality close up photos/prints (6x6 inches) of your own choice for painting. You may also use free website for photos. www.pixabay.com
