Discover how chiaroscuro and sfumato techniques can be used to bring excitement to your drawings as well as help you create important studies to inform your paintings. We will look at the work of contemporary and classical artists to see how they use these techniques and then work directly from models. Daily demos will feature these and other techniques you can use to analyze anatomy, perspective, composition and draw dynamic figures.
Double your progress! Bring your lunch and stay after class for the Wednesday Model Lab (no instruction) from 12:30-3:30. Model fee $10/members or $14/non-members.
