Mark will lead the class through four separate demonstrations. Each participant will develop their own painting in each of the four sessions. The subject prompts which will consist of still life themes- minor subjects as they occur in nature (no staged fruit bowl set-ups). Mark will explain his approach to values and composition, as well as the importance of observing and creating “variation” in a painting. Painters at all stages of experience are welcome, but the pace of each class might be challenging for the beginner.
