Mark will provide a variety of subject prompts over this four-week class. The learning objectives will be to accurately understand values, and to create visual interest through variations in paint applications and color selection while producing a realistic painting.  Participants will see demonstrated and come to understand the various steps and their sequence to make a successful watercolor.  Each class will spend some time pencil sketching to primarily understand the importance of values, but to also further develop necessary drawing skills, and each person may occasionally make small watercolor studies in sketchbooks prior to starting a new watercolor.  Time will be made in each class to place participant’s watercolors in mats and frames to further examine and critique the final paintings.
