This class is designed for students who desire to develop how to draw the human head in right proportion and measurements. Prior to painting faces in watercolor or any other mediums, it is preferable to learn human head proportion and skill to draw eyes, nose, lips, ears, & neck, and learn the correct proportion to each other. This class is a pre-requisite for Prof. Bhatti’s other portrait classes, and with the basic knowledge of portrait drawing in various mediums, one can feel more comfortable and enjoy the adventure of painting portraits in watercolor medium. Intermediate to advanced.

Supply List: graphite pencils HB, 2B, 4B; charcoal pencil/stick, pen & ink, Conte crayon, pastels, watercolor paints, drawing sheet, drawing board,  eraser, masking tape, sharpener

Mohammad is internationally renowned for his portraits.  He earned an MFA in painting from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and a Ph.D. in fine arts from Ohio University.  He is equally fluent in oil and watercolor mediums and is a WASH member, regularly contributing in monthly shows.   Dr. Bhatti has been a full time art professor in Pakistan and a visiting professor in universities in Malaysia and Ohio University.   He has organized portrait demonstrations, seminars and workshops all over the world.
