Portraying horses in a believable fashion can be a daunting task! It all starts with a great drawing. In this workshop we will learn how to break the horse down into manageable shapes and judge spatial relationships between those shapes to capture a realistic figure, paying special attention to how the legs move and relate to the body. Facial and body features that help distinguish breeds and individuals will also be explored. We will work through one exercise together, then participants will work from their own reference photographs to create a unique painting. Whether you have great familiarity with horses or simply appreciate their beauty and spirit, this workshop will help bring them alive in your artwork! All levels.
