$100
Perspective is a challenge for both beginner and advanced painters. Learn the basics, how to problem solve and self-correct, and apply this information to your own work. Often artists are stymied by perspective, but learning to break down the visual information you are observing makes it much less daunting. A combination of teacher demos, guided practice, and handouts facilitate a variety of learning styles.
Day 1: Students will work through a series of exercises with instructor demos and guidance. One point and two point perspective will be emphasized, with a variety of eye-levels. Learning to break down complex visual information into more manageable structures will help you with on-site sketching and developing compositions.
Day 2: Plan to bring 3-4 personal photos to work from on Day 2. These could be landscape, cityscape, still life, or a combination. With instructor guidance, students will analyze images and work through perspective challenges and apply learnings.
All levels.
