Participants will develop concepts by isolating the essence or spirit of their chosen subject. I will work with individuals to develop the simplification of shape and your mastery of an image whether landscape or still life inspired. Demonstrations will include many techniques. Design, value, color, and composition elements will be discussed as the student creates a painting. We will savor the enjoyment of the painterly aspects of the medium rather than being tied to the realistic detail.
