Painting portraits in watercolor relies on understanding anatomy, choosing the right colors, building values, and nailing the details. Learn the basics of this process while we work on a group project, and a portrait of your own choice over this 4 week course. You will need basic supplies, including good paper, brushes, transparent tube colors and your palette. You will also need to choose a portrait that is something you can be successful with – keep a simple straight on portrait or silhouette if you are a beginner, branch out if you are a more advanced painter.
