"I consider that the most important aspect of my work is not about my ability to render a beautiful image, but for my truth and passion to 'show up' on the paper, and by virtue of my demos, encourage you to do the same! My WASH demonstration will be about expressive watercolour techniques, as I create a dynamic, bold, equestrian-themed subject using my '12 Lights' approach. I will paint a horse in watercolor, gouache or acrylic without use of any external reference--pulling the image and idea from 'internal content', which is only possible with a strong understanding of the 12 lights."
