Participants will be encouraged to follow Mark as he illustrates his techniques and leads the class through four separate demonstrations. The basic painting subject theme will be still life in watercolor. The class will explore natural and man made subjects. Mark will spend time with each student, and a portion of each class period will be devoted to a group critique of the paintings being created. Mark will provide the subject prompts. The class will also explore the importance of value studies to making a good composition and some time will be devoted to a better understanding of perspective drawing. All levels.
