VIRTUAL - Start Sketching Faces: an introduction to proportions, structure and color

Ksenia Annis

October 24 & 25
10:00 - 12:00 Central Time

$60

Human beings are one of the most popular and fun subjects in art, but a lot of artists struggle when working on faces. Sketching faces is not hard with a good understanding of some basic principles. During the first session of this class we will talk about some methods of quickly capturing the basic structure of the human face. We'll discuss each individual feature, and review the general principles of showing light and shadow on a face. The second session will be dedicated to color: the instructor will present several methods of showing skin and hair with watercolors, as well as using mixed media to capture models within the time limits of a quick sketch.

Each session will start with instructor's demo and then students will have time to practice what they've learned - from stock photos or from their own, with instructor available to give feedback and answer questions.

Note: Please note that registration will close October 22 at noon Central Time. Please register early.
