Come experience the fundamentals of watercolor in a nurturing and supportive place. We will explore the techniques, the special effects, and the magic of the medium. We will investigate the materials, the possibilities that color mixing, paint application, and the joys of this transparent medium offers. This “watercolor smorgasbord” will have you excited about the massive possibilities for finding your artist voice. Taught by a seasoned instructor who has joyfully started hundreds of watercolor students on this fun journey, Cheryl Evans will share tips and pointers in drawing and composition that will turn you into a watercolor warrior!


Supplies Needed:

Watercolor Paper ½ sheet 140# Arches cold press

Watercolor palette - large with ample mixing space

3 tubes of watercolor:

          New Gamboge

          French Ultramarine Blue

          Alizarine Crimson

Pencil

Water container

Paper towels

1” flat brush

# 10 round brush (watercolor synthetic)

sketchbook

blue painter's tape
