Juror Stephen Quiller has completed his selections and chosen a stunning display of masterfully achieved paintings from watercolorists the world over and our newly painted gallery will show off the 40th Annual International Exhibition at its absolute best.

WAS-H is pleased to invite all the entering artists, its members, their family and friends, and the entire Houston community to attend the exhibition events planned for this year's exhibition.

Below are the dates and times for our receptions and for the exhibition in general. This year we are pleased to announce that we will be holding extended gallery hours during the IE.

Stephen Quiller’s Free Demo: Sunday, March 12 from 2:00-3:30pm*

Opening Reception and Award Ceremony: March 12 from 4:00-6:00pm

Art Lovers Reception: Thursday, March 16, 5:30-7:30pm

Regular Gallery Hours for the IE: Tuesday-Sunday, March 14 – April 6, 10:00am-3:00pm

Extended Gallery Hours:

Fridays and Saturdays, March 17/18, March 24/25, March 31/April 1 from 3:00-6:00pm

Sundays, March 19, 26 and April 2 from 1:00-5:00pm

* Doors open at 1:30 for painting demo entrance and seating; gallery entrance will be restricted between 2:00 and 4:00 pm, when doors will reopen for the reception; complimentary valet parking will be available.

Juror and Workshop Instructor


The Watercolor Art Society-Houston is excited to present Stephen Quiller as its 2017 International Exhibition Juror and Demo Artist. Mr. Quiller is a nationally acclaimed watercolorist, teacher and juror who lives with his wife in Creede, Colorado where he has his own gallery. He is a Dolphin Fellow and signature member of the American Watercolor Society, the National Watercolor Society, National Society for Painters in Acrylic and Casein, Rocky Mountain National Watermedia, and Watercolor West.

He has painted professionally since 1972 and his works are enthusiastically collected. His paintings can be viewed at the Mission Gallery in Taos, New Mexico and during the summer months at the Quiller Gallery in Creede, Colorado. To view his work and learn more go to www.quillergallery.com
