A Tour of the WAS-H Building
WE ARE IN OUR NEW HOME!
After more than 4 years of effort to raise funds, design and construct a new Education/Exhibition facility, we have moved in! Thanks to members and friends of WAS-H, we are now offering classes and exhibitions in a 5400 square foot building in Houston’s museum district, just 1/2 block from The Menil Collection. To our knowledge this is the only facility designed exclusively to exhibit and offer instruction in Watercolor
Watercolor Art Society-Houston
Founded in 1975, the Watercolor Art Society – Houston (WAS-H) is a non-profit organization with over 500 members. For over 30 years, WAS-H has brought the excitement of water-media to the greater Houston area with outstanding exhibitions, world-class instruction and dedicated community outreach. Year-round opportunities are provided to every level of painter, from novice to the seasoned expert. Art lovers can also enjoy year-round exhibitions both at important business district venues and at our home gallery in the Museum District.

WAS-H Monthly Membership Shows
are featured at WAS-H's own gallery space, 1601 West Alabama in Houston's museum district near the Menil Collection. Members have an opportunity to submit work in watermedia each month, offering the community opportunity to view and purchase contemporary art. Gallery hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 10am to 3pm.

Gallery Policy
The WAS-H Gallery is open Tuesday - Saturday, 10-3. With Board of Directors approval, members may rent the Gallery for private exhibitions.
Studio Policy
Rental rates vary with space that is rented. Please call the WAS-H office for reservation and rates. Scheduled WAS-h activities and classes take precedence over other meetings. Publicity will be provided in the Washrag and media contacts at a charge. All policies are subject to change by action of the Board.

Each month our Washrag will list gifts , honorariums for birthdays, anniversaries, memorials and thank yous.

Kroger Letter pdf
Present the attached letter with our barcode to your cashier upon checkout. After they have scanned your KrogerPlus Card you will be enrolled for the current year of the Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor Donation Program. Every time you shop at Kroger and use your enrolled KrogerPlus Card, Kroger will contribute a percentage of your eligible purchases to the Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor Donation fund. Once a card is scanned with the barcode, it will be active for the remainder of the program year.
With our registration into the revised program the Share Card previously distributed is no longer valid. WAS-H realizes a nice little income stream from this program so please print out the letter and have it read into your account.
* Randalls offers WAS-H 1% of your purchases. Register at a courtesy booth with WAS-H's ID # 4553. Then, every time you use your Randalls Card, WAS-H is credited.
