ANNUAL OPERATING FUNDS DRIVE
On-line Donation Available
In order to keep up with our growth and maintain the same level of excellence in programming and membership services, communications and outreach services and operational standards it is necessary to raise additional funds beyond what the monthly activities, classes and workshops generate for our operating expenses.
This year the Board has established an Annual Operating Funds Drive which enables friends and members to continue their support of WAS-H. The First Annual Operating Funds Drive is underway and will continue through the end of December 2009.
Contributions will be recognized in the following levels. Please see the attached letter for details.
Blue Ribbon: $5,000 and above
Red Ribbon: $1,000 - $4,999
White Ribbon: $ 500 - $999
Honorable Mention: $100 - $499

A Tour of the WAS-H Building
Watercolor Art Society-Houston
Founded in 1975, the Watercolor Art Society – Houston (WAS-H) is a non-profit organization with over 500 members. For over 30 years, WAS-H has brought the excitement of water-media to the greater Houston area with outstanding exhibitions, world-class instruction and dedicated community outreach. Year-round opportunities are provided to every level of painter, from novice to the seasoned expert. Art lovers can also enjoy year-round exhibitions in our gallery in the Museum District. In late spring The Annual International Exhibition is hosted and attracts entries from all over the globe. WAS-H signature membership opportunities originate from this exhibition. Nationally recognized jurors are invited to judge and select from entries paintings to be exhibited.

WAS-H Monthly Membership Shows
are featured at WAS-H's own gallery space, 1601 West Alabama in Houston's museum district near the Menil Collection. Members have an opportunity to submit work in watermedia each month, offering the community opportunity to view and purchase contemporary art. Gallery hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 10am to 3pm.

Gallery Policy
The WAS-H Gallery is open Tuesday - Saturday, 10-3. With Board of Directors approval, members may rent the Gallery for private exhibitions.
Studio Policy
Rental rates vary with space that is rented. Please call the WAS-H office for reservation and rates. Scheduled WAS-h activities and classes take precedence over other meetings. Publicity will be provided in the Washrag and media contacts at a charge. All policies are subject to change by action of the Board.
Seeds of Watercolor
Consider a donation to Seeds of Watercolor.
Each month our Washrag will list gifts , honorariums for birthdays, anniversaries, memorials and thank yous.
* Randalls offers WAS-H 1% of your purchases. Register at a courtesy booth with WAS-H's ID # 4553. Then, every time you use your Randalls Card, WAS-H is credited.
* KrogerPlus Card – The Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor Donation Program will commence July 1, 2009 and end on April 30, 2010.
Present the attached letter with our barcode to your cashier upon checkout. After they have scanned your KrogerPlus Card you will be enrolled for the current year of the Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor Donation Program. Every time you shop at Kroger and use your enrolled KrogerPlus Card, Was-h will be credited
With our registration into the revised program the Share Card previously distributed is no longer valid.
